Description: The Cisco NIM-2FXSP/4FXOP is a network interface module designed for use with Cisco 4000 Series ISRs. It provides a combination of: 2 FXS/FXS-E/DID ports: These ports can be used to connect traditional analog telephone devices such as telephones, fax machines, and modems. FXS-E refers to enhanced Foreign Exchange Station, which offers additional calling features. DID (Direct Inward Dial) allows for specific phone numbers to be routed to extensions on the router. 4 FXO ports: These ports are used to connect the router to external analog phone lines from a service provider. The module supports online insertion and removal (OIR), allowing for easy installation and replacement without powering down the router.
