Cisco QSFP-40G-SR-BD Transceiver Module – 40GBASE-SR-BiDi Duplex LC
The Cisco QSFP-40G-SR-BD is a 40GBASE-SR-BiDi QSFP+ optical transceiver designed for short-reach 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over multimode fiber. Unlike conventional 40G SR4 modules that use an MPO interface, the QSFP-40G-SR-BD uses a duplex LC connector, allowing organizations to reuse existing two-strand duplex multimode fiber infrastructure.
The Cisco BiDi transceiver uses two 20-Gbps transmit and receive optical channels in the 832–918nm wavelength range to provide an aggregated 40Gbps link over a two-strand multimode fiber connection.
