Description
The Cisco SFP-25G-AOC7M is a 25 Gigabit Ethernet active optical cable (AOC) designed for short-distance, high-bandwidth connections within data centers and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
AOCs use fiber optic technology to transmit data over short distances with minimal signal loss. Compared to copper SFP+ direct attach cables (DACs), AOCs offer several advantages including:
Longer reach (7 meters in this case)
Lighter weight and better flexibility
Immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI)
