Description:

Cisco GLC-SX-MMD transceiver modules are SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) devices designed for use with Cisco networking equipment in Gigabit Ethernet applications. They are suited for short-range optical connections within data centers or local area networks (LANs). These hot-swappable modules support data rates of up to 1.25 Gbps and operate at a wavelength of 850 nm over multi-mode fiber optic cables. GLC-SX-MMD SFPs can be used with either 50/125µm or 62.5/125µm core diameter MMF cables and offer a maximum reach of up to 550 meters over OM2 multi-mode fiber.
