Description
The Extreme Networks Compatible TAA 40GBase-SR QSFP+ Transceiver Module is a high-performance optical transceiver designed to provide reliable and efficient 40 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over short distances.
It is fully compliant with the QSFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 standards, ensuring interoperability with a wide range of networking equipment.
This transceiver features a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP+) form factor and a MTP/MPO-12 male connector. It operates at a wavelength of 850nm and is designed for use with multimode fiber (MMF). The maximum reach of the transceiver is 150 meters over OM4 fiber or 100 meters over OM3 fiber.
Inside the transceiver, a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) transmitter and a pin photodiode receiver are used to transmit and receive optical signals. The transceiver is also equipped with digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) capabilities, allowing network administrators to monitor the transceiver's operating parameters in real time.
