MOXA AWK-3121 Industrial Wireless Access Point

Industrial Wireless Connectivity
The MOXA AWK-3121 provides wireless Ethernet connectivity for industrial applications where cabling between network segments or mobile equipment is difficult. Its AP, bridge and client operating modes allow it to be integrated into different wireless network architectures.
In Access Point mode, the AWK-3121 can provide wireless connectivity to compatible clients. Bridge mode can connect separate Ethernet network segments through a wireless link, while Client mode can provide wireless network access to equipment connected through the Ethernet interface.
Industrial Ethernet and I/O Integration
The device includes a 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDI-X, allowing it to connect with industrial switches, controllers and other Ethernet-based equipment. The RS-232 console interface provides local configuration access.
Two electrically isolated digital inputs and one relay output provide additional industrial signaling capability. These interfaces can be used for monitoring device status or integrating the wireless unit into an industrial control and alarm architecture.
Wireless Security and Network Management
The AWK-3121 supports industrial wireless security features including WEP, WPA/WPA2-Personal and Enterprise authentication, IEEE 802.1X/RADIUS and TKIP/AES encryption. Firewall functions provide MAC, IP, protocol and port-based filtering for network access control.
Management and communication protocols include HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, DHCP, SNTP and other standard IP networking protocols. The AWK-3121 series can also be managed through Moxa network management tools where the applicable firmware version is supported.

The AWK-3121 uses a rugged metal IP30 enclosure and DIN-rail installation format. The platform was designed for industrial automation, factory networking and infrastructure applications requiring dependable wireless communication.

Moxa has officially phased out the AWK-3121 Series and replaced it with the AWK-1131A Series.
