MOXA EDS-508A 8-Port Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch
The MOXA EDS-508A is an 8-port managed industrial Ethernet switch designed for reliable Fast Ethernet connectivity and network management in industrial automation and harsh operating environments. It provides 8 × 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation, full/half-duplex operation and Auto MDI/MDI-X, making it suitable for connecting industrial controllers, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, automation equipment and Ethernet-enabled field devices.
As a Layer 2 managed switch, the EDS-508A supports advanced networking functions including IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, port-based VLAN, QoS, IGMP, GVRP, RSTP, MSTP, STP, LACP and port trunking. Its management and monitoring capabilities include SNMPv1/v2c/v3, LLDP, RMON, Syslog, Telnet, TFTP and web-based network management features.
For industrial network redundancy, the EDS-508A supports Moxa Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, RSTP, STP and MSTP. Moxa specifies Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain recovery performance of less than 20 ms in supported network configurations, helping maintain network availability when a link or connection fails.
