The HPE Aruba Networking CX 4100i JL818A is a ruggedized 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for industrial, enterprise edge, IoT, access point, surveillance, transportation and other demanding networking environments. It combines 100M/1G copper connectivity, high-power PoE, 1/10G SFP+ uplinks and the Aruba AOS-CX operating system in a fanless rackmount platform.
The JL818A provides 24 x 100M/1G Base-T PoE ports, including 20 Class 4 PoE ports supporting up to 30W per port and 4 Class 6 PoE ports supporting up to 60W per port. It supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt PoE standards, making it suitable for powering compatible wireless access points, IP cameras, IoT devices, sensors and other network endpoints directly through Ethernet cabling.
For uplink connectivity, the switch provides 4 x 1/10G SFP+ ports, allowing high-speed fiber or compatible direct-attach connectivity between the industrial access layer and aggregation or core network. The switch offers up to 128 Gbps switching capacity and up to 95 Mpps throughput, depending on the applicable configuration.
